Problema con qtparted
 
Ragazzi ho un problema con qtparted: qquando provo a ridimensionare una partizione "archivio" di cui parlavo prima mi dice "ntfs_mount failed: invalid argument".. che fare?

La raison de cela peut être une ou plusieurs des suivantes

le secteur de départ (cylindre) de la partition n'est pas correctement spécifié pendant la re-partition

Si vous avez fait cette faute, re-créez le départ de la partition avec la valeur originale et tout redeviendra OK. N'oubliez pas de régler le type de partition sur 7 et le flag bootable.

Si un outil de partition utilisant ntfsresize fait cette faute, alors dites-le à l'auteur concerné.

Dans tous les cas, si vous avez sauvegardé la table de partition originale, alors TestDisk, gpart ou Parted's rescue mode devrait vous aider à retrouver le secteur de démarrage (cylindre) correct dans le volume NTFS.

L'outil de partition a affecté à la partition NTFS originale un nouveau numéro.

Utilisez 'fdisk -1 device' pour trouver où est l'emplacement courant.

almeno per capire di che tipo di errore si tratta nella tabella delle partizioni.

hai la tabella delle partizioni incasinatissima, ne ho contati 8.
Per correggerla dovresti usare questo:

oppure Ranish Partition Manager ( www.ranish.com), ma attenzione perchè rischi di perdere tutto il contenuto del tuo HD.

Io fossi in te farei un bel backup dei dati e azzererei l'HD, MBR compreso, quindi una scrittura a 0, e poi reinstallerei tutto.

penso seguirò il tuo ultimo consiglio.. un bel formattone e sistemo tutto..

devo installare windows XP e Mandrake 10 che mi consigliate di fare?

meglio installarli su due partizioni diverse o delegare Mandrake di riservarsi un cantuccio nella partizione con XP?

La mia configurazione hardware la leggete a pie di post, che mi consigliate di fare per quanto riguarda lo swap ecc ecc? quanto riservare a ciascuna partizione creata da linux?

NB oltre ai due sistemi operativi ho bisogno di avere sull'HD una partizione di "archivio" di grandezza massima possibile: avrei intenzione di riservare il meno possibile a linux, 15 a windows e il resto all'archivio

In generale e' meglio che te ne occupi tu, partiziona il disco considerando che per mandrake sarebbe meglio:

- dai 3 ai 4 Gb per la partizione /
- circa 500Mb per la partizione di swap
- quanto vuoi tu per la partizione /home -> documenti personali, desktop etc etc

attenzione perchè il format non risolve.
nel tuo caso devi riscrivere il MBR e tutte le tabelle.
perciò ti consiglio di scaricarti la tool della maxtor (powermax) e scrivere a 0 l'HD, in caso contrario rischi di stare punto e a capo.
