Per gli altri client non so, ma per TB esiste una piccola e utilissima estensione che permette di salvare le mail in formato "eml" , quindi leggibili anche da Outlook. Si chiama Tb Autosave Extension, supporta la lingua italiana e lo trovate quì: http://www.extenzilla.org/scheda_estensione.php?id=434

Appena provato: per fare backup mi pare molto meglio amic mail backup segnalato la scorsa settimana (per dirne una in outlook express vede solo l'identità principale, mentre Amic le vede tutte e ti permette di fare backup di quella che vuoi).
Questo software mi sembra più adatto per chi vuole tenere lo storico delle email fuori linea e con un potente motore di indicizzazione.
