WASHINGTON - Allarme negli Stati Uniti per la diffusione di colibatteri contenuti, a quanto pare, in confezioni di spinaci freschi consumati in 8 Stati. Una persona e' morta e una cinquantina sono rimaste contagiate. Le autorita' sanitarie federali hanno invitato i consumatori a evitare di mangiare tali verdure. La situazione piu' grave nel Wisconsin. A rischio soprattutto anziani e bambini: per loro i colibatteri possono essere fatali. (Agr)

WASHINGTON (AP) _ Spinach may be nutritious, but federal health officials are saying don't eat bagged fresh spinach right now. The warning comes in response to an E. coli outbreak in eight states that's killed one person and sickened about 50.
